Aftercare

Your artist’s instructions come first. This page is a quick reminder of how healing usually goes.

Healing tracker

Fresh (days 1–3)

Keep the bandage on as long as your artist said. Then wash gently with clean hands, lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap, pat dry with a clean paper towel, and apply a thin layer of the aftercare product your artist recommends.

Peeling and itchy (days 4–14)

Light flaking is normal. Don’t pick, scratch or peel. Keep it clean and lightly moisturized. No soaking: skip pools, hot tubs, lakes and baths.

Settling (weeks 2–4)

The surface looks healed, but the skin underneath is still settling and can look a little cloudy. Keep moisturizing and keep it out of direct sun.

Healed for life

Put sunscreen on it outdoors; the Florida sun fades tattoos fastest. If anything healed patchy, talk to your artist.

Something doesn’t look right?

Redness that spreads, heat, swelling that gets worse, or a fever are reasons to see a doctor. For anything about your tattoo, call your artist at (863) 247-9011.
